Discipleship Ministries Administrative Assistant

Job Description:
The Discipleship Ministries Administrative Assistant will perform administrative duties for the ministries that include but may not be limited to: Children’s Church, Men’s Ministry, Women’s Ministry, Grief Ministry, Youth Ministry, Marriage Ministry, Leadership development Ministry, and Deacon’s Ministry. Responsibilities may include screening calls; meeting and event planning and arrangements; meeting scheduling; preparing reports; creating presentations; project management support; and customer relations. Requires strong computer and Internet research skills, flexibility, excellent interpersonal skills, project coordination experience, and the ability to work well with all levels of internal staff, NLCC members, and external vendors.

The Discipleship Ministries Administrative Assistant will serve in a similar fashion to that of a virtual assistant. Each service ministry will be allotted a certain level of hours per month on the assistants schedule from requested deliverables will be created and executed. This position will require a great deal of organization to promote productivity for the varied ministry leaders and stakeholders.

Required Education and Experience
•    Associates degree in business or related field.
•    At least five years of administrative assistant experience.

•€€€€€€ Work with discipleship ministries to develop professional and branded deliverables
•€€€€€€ Coordinate scheduling of group meetings
•€€€€€€ Effective judgment to plan and accomplish ministry goals.
•€€€€€€ Must possess the following skills: verbal and written communication, self-starting motivation, customer service, multitasking, and effective project management.
•€€€€€€ Must demonstrate the ability to receive a vision, interpret it, develop a plan of action, and communicate to necessary parties how to execute it.

•€€€€€€ Possess personal qualities of integrity, credibility, and commitment to corporate mission and goals.

Responsible for answering all phones lines, transferring calls, etc.
Greeting all visitors and/or members at office door

Receiving and sending out mail all correspondence
